Space Coast Super Boat Grand Prix
The third annual Space Coast Super Boat Grand Prix takes off May 16-20 in Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral. The event features power boats on parade, meet-and-greet with racers, community events, entertainment, music, food and drinks and VIP parties. VIP tickets are $109. It’s free to watch the race, but bring change for parking meters. Call 321-863-5228.

Sailors ready for friendly Brevard Challenge races
The 46th annual Brevard Challenge, hosted by the Indian River Yacht Club will begin at8 a.m. Saturday. As many as 30 boat entrants, with more than 60 skippers and crewpersons sailing sloops to catamarans, will depart from just south of the Hubert Humphrey Bridge northeast of Cocoa Village’s Lee Wenner Park and follow an 18-mile course down to the Pineda Causeway and a 12-mile course around the marks.
